Hotel Mbweni Ruins, 7km south of Stone Town, offering easy access to
spice plantations, the Jozani Forest and East Coast beaches.

Accommodation is exclusive (no more than 30 GUESTS), with breathtaking
views of the Indian Ocean and the gardens, which are home to a vast
variety of birds and butterflies, before leading down to the beach where
mangroves sprout out from the sea.
Mbweni offers 13 air-conditioned suites, each furnished in distinctive
Zanzibar style, with oriental rugs, mosquito nets and four-poster beds,
which echo the many cultural flavours that have infuenced the Swahili
Coast.
The Baobab Suite is perfect for honeymoons, and forf that extra special
treat. This spacious suite, complete with kig-sized four-poster bed, has
its own rooftop terrace with spectacular views over the ocean, the ruins
and the garden, which is vibrant with the colour of the frangipani,
hibiscus and oleander.
The rooms are situated in a picturesque setting dotted with palm trees
and a kaleidoscope of exotic plant life. Each suite is located close to
the attractive swimming pool and secluded beach and has a balcony
overlooking the sea.

RESTAURANTS & BAR:

Paths through the gardens lead to the cliff-top where the bar and
Raintree restaurant are situated, offering refreshing drinks, excellent
cuisine and impressive views over the grounds and the Indian Ocean. From
the terrace of the Sundowner Bar, Guests can gaze at the spectacular
sunset whilst sipping a gin and tonicm a Pimms or our uniquely blended
Zanzibar punch. Alternatively, we stock a variety of East African beers,
cocktails and a selection of South African wines.

OTHER FACILITIES & SERVICES:

Facilities include a beautiful swimming pool and a bar and restaurant on
