Day 1: Nairobi – Nairobi safari club

Arrive Nairobi, meet and transfer to your reserved hotel. Afternoon to the giraffe center and Bomas of Kenya
Dinner at Carnivore, considered one of the best 10 restaurant in the world,Night in Nairobi in the Nairobi Safari club, a very pleasant and nice hotel.

Day 2: Nairobi/Maasai Mara – Serena lodge

Pick up  from Nairobi safari club Hotel. 9.30am depart for Maasai Mara Game Reserve via the viewpoint of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch followed by a short break and an evening game drive in this pristine, unequaled ‘big game country’. Return to Serena lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Masai Mara – Serena lodge

This will be a day of tracking game with your guide, after an early breakfast. The Mara’s landscape is scenic Savannah grassland on rolling hills, which enables the reserve to attract sufficient rainfall to maintain and support a large population of herbivores, together with the predators that follow. Elephant, lion, buffalo can be seen with relative ease though luck is a necessary factor for spotting Rhino and Leopard that complete the big five as the two animals are very timid and sparsely numbered. Plains game like wildebeest, zebra and Masai giraffe abound as well as hippos and a wide variety of antelopes including impala, dik dik, hartebeest, Grant’s gazelle and Thompson’s gazelle among others.

This reserve which borders Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park is the annual seasonal scene of the migration of close to 800,000 zebra and wildebeest that occurs between the two parks. Lunch at the campsite. In the afternoon proceed with game drive. Optional visit a local Maasai village to see their nomadic lifestyle; the Maasai are famous for their bravery, as they have co-existed with the animals over the years. All meals and overnight at the lodge. We will cater for a picnic lunch at the hippo pool. In the evening, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4: Masai Mara/Nakuru – Lake Nakuru lodge

Option 1
Balloon safari from 5:30 to 7:00. This will be the most amazing and fascinating experience especially in this period of the year watching the thousands of wildebeests and zebras from the aerial view migrating from the Serengeti park into the Masai Mara and lots of other animals. This will end up with a champagne breakfast.

After breakfast, leave Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru arriving in time for lunch. After lunch a game drive will follow in Lake Nakuru National Park, the abode of various water birds that breed in the lake’s salty water including flamingos, white pelicans and marabou stork; white rhino may be seen as well as the rare Rothschild’s giraffe, cape buffalo and other plains game in this park that is 188 square kilometers. Dinner and overnight at Lake Nakuru lodge.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru/ Samburu – Samburu lodge

After breakfast depart for Samburu via Thompson Falls, which are named after Joseph Thompson, one of the first European explorers who, walked from Mombasa to Lake Victoria in the 1880’s. Lunch will be at Nanyuki, which is at the foothills of Mount Kenya. Arrive Samburu in the evening with a short game drive en-route. Dinner and overnight at Samburu lodge.

Day 6: Samburu – Aberdares country club

Early morning game drives in Samburu. The reserve is home to rare drought resistant animals that are peculiar to the semi arid region north of the equator. These include reticulated giraffe, grevy’s zebra, the Beisa Oryx, gerenuk, and the blue-shanked Somali ostrich. Samburu is dry most of the year but is watered by the Ewaso Nyiro River, which rises in the Aberdares and drains in the Lorian swamp north of Shaba National Reserve. Mid day depart Samburu for Aberdare’s arriving at the Outspan hotel or at the Aberdares Country club and transferred to the tree hotel for dinner and overnight; game viewing from the flood-lit waterholes and salt lick which is the essence of a visit to a tree hotel.

Day 7: Aberdares/Nairobi

After breakfast proceed on to Nairobi with scenic views of Mt.Kenya peak if the weather permits. Very pleasant countryside with Tea and Coffee plantations will be by-passed too. You will arrive in Nairobi mid afternoon in time for lunch. Transport to airport for your evening flight.

Option 2
You will then be dropped at the Airport to connect your one hour flight to Malindi at Indian Ocean. On arrival you will be picked up from the airport and transferred to a quiet and beautiful resort for overnight on half board basis.

Day 8: Malindi – Beach Hotel

Day spent at leisure in the beach hotel.

Day 9: Malindi – Beach Hotel

Day spent at leisure in the beach hotel. Flight back to Nairobi to Nairobi safari club in the evening.

Day 10: Nairobi

Transfer to the airport
