Itinerary

Pick up from Dar es Salaam airport. Transfer to hotel Dar es Salaam is the largest city and economic capital of Tanzania. Located in a quiet bay off the Indian Ocean coast, the city has developed into an economic importance to become a prosperous center of the entire East African region. Its bustling harbor is the main port in Tanzania.

Meals and overnight at the hotel in Dar es Salaam

In the morning, leave for Nyerere National Park and have a warm, kiwity lunch. A trip to Nyerere National Park takes about 5-6 hours. Arrive at the afternoon boat safari along the mighty Great Rufiji River. Boat safari brings close contact with hippos, crocodiles, and wonderful birds. Animals go drinking towards the river, and boats can approach riverbank elephants and waterbuck within a few meters. As the boat approaches, the crocodile slides into the water, and the hippo appears close, roaring and steaming.

After breakfast, another full day of game drives in the park. Nyerere National Park is the largest game park in Africa – 4 times the size of the Serengeti National Park. It possesses a diverse landscape from hot volcanic springs, sporadic lakes, and channels from the Great Ruaha and Rufiji rivers. Nyerere National Park is Africa’s greatest park that covers a wide variety of wildlife habitats including Lakes, open grassland, Acacia, Miombo woodland, and riverine forests. The topography of the park varies from rolling savannah woodland, grassland plains, and rocky outcrops cut by the Rufiji River and its tributaries. The Kilombero and Luwegu together cover the greatest catchment area in East Africa, which flows from north to south and provides the lifeblood of Nyerere National Park. Sailing or Rafting down the Rufiji River is a superb way of seeing the animals very closely.

Early in the morning at 06:30 before breakfast start walking safari with an armed ranger with a
walking guide for 2/3 hours, you will be led by a friendly guide who has extensive knowledge and experience of life in the bush. They will show you how to read the clues in the bush - a steaming pile of dug indicates an Elephant passed through not long ago. Walk in the huge wrinkled footprints for a while. Listen out for the chirps and trills of birds and the guide will help you identify them. Listen and you may hear alarm calls indicating the presence of a predator nearby. Feel the pace of your heart quicken as you slowly, quietly come quite close to a herd of Elephants under careful instruction from your guide. You suddenly realize just how big an African Elephant is. Back to the Camp for lunch then depart for the afternoon game drive.

After early breakfast depart from Selous and drive to Morogoro with lunch boxes.
Morogoro is the capital of the Morogoro Region. It is also known informally as "Mji kasoro Bahari," which translates to “city short of an ocean/port." Option to stop at Mvuha village, Matombo Market, and a school visit at Matombo village.

After an early breakfast, collect your packed lunch boxes and depart to Udzungwa Mountains
National Park. On arrival, the driver‘s guide will transfer you to the starting point of the hike. This is a hike through the beautiful forests and landscape scenery up to an amazing waterfall. During hiking with a professional guide, you will learn about various trees used for traditional healing and others poisonous, and the view of the largest Tanzania sugarcane plantation (Kilombero Sugarcane Valley) from the waterfall is just incredible.

After breakfast depart to Iringa City Lunch at the hotel, depart for the Iringa City tour, and visit Iringa Museums Historically, Iringa was a center of colonial administration. During the German occupation, the German military constructed the town as a fortified defense against marauding Hehe tribal warriors' intent on driving them out of the region. Gangilonga Rock, a site just outside of the town, is a legendary spot where the Hehe chief at that time, Chief Mkwawa, met his people and decided on how to fight the Germans. Iringa was also the site of several battles during the First and Second World Wars and the Commonwealth War Graves are located just outside of town.

After breakfast collect lunch boxes and depart for a Ruaha National Park
Ruaha National Park in the center of Tanzania takes its name from the Hehe word for ‘river.’ The eponymous Great Ruaha River serves as a lifeline for the park’s wildlife. Although it’s the largest national park in the country and rich in wildlife, Ruaha is one of the least busy places to visit in Tanzania, so safaris here feel remote and exclusive, although it is the largest national park in the country and rich in wildlife, Ruaha is one of the busiest places to visit in Tanzania, so trips here feel distant and unique. Another striking feature of Ruaha is the sparkling wat ways that attract a wealth of games.
Back to the vehicle for a full day of game drives Picnic lunch inside the park, later continue with afternoon game drive.

After breakfast, early breakfast departs for Mikumi national Park with a collection of Packed lunch, the drive will take about 4to5 hours’ drive on the tarmac road, The open lands and wildlife of the Mkata floodplain, the center of Mikumi, are often Compared to the most famous landscapes of the Serengeti. The vegetation of the region includes a savanna with acacia, baobab, tamarinds, and some rare palms. In this area, farthest from the road, are the spectacular cliffs of the Rubeho and Uluguru mountains.
