Trip Overview
As the saying goes do not judge a book by its cover and that saying surely applies to Gombe park. The park enjoys a rather eccentric but substantial role in housing a large variety of primates aside from chimpanzees such as the olive baboons, red-tailed, red colobus monkeys, and many more primate iterations. Not only do primates riddle the land of Gombe park but over 200 variations of bird and pushpins species, snakes and the occasional hip and leopard also call the park home.

Itinerary
Day 1 :
Dar es Salaam/Kigoma
In the morning after breakfast, you’ll be driven to Dar es Salaam International Airport for your flight to Kigoma. You’ll be picked up on arrival at Kigoma and driven to the Lake Tanganyika Beach hotel for lunch. After lunch, you’ll visit the Dr.Livingstone memorial at Ujiji village where, under the shade of two historical mango trees, the Caretaker will regale you with tales about Dr. Livingstone and his famous African expedition. As the day comes to an end we’ll take you to Hotel where you can relax and enjoy the views over Lake Tanganyika as the sun goes down.
Day 2 :
Kigoma – Gombe National Park
In the morning after breakfast, you’ll be driven to Lake Tanganyika for your boat trip to Gombe Mountain National Park. It takes four to six hours to get from Kigoma town to Gombe National Park by speed boat and after a packed lunch your guide will take you to the forest for late afternoon chimpanzee tracking.
Meals and accommodation at the Camp
Day 3 :
Gombe full day
Chimpanzee tracking and visit Mwamgongo fishing village where you will enjoy traditional dancing music and experience local fishing activities.
Dinner and overnight at the Camp
Day 4 :
Same to Day 3 Gombe full day
Day 5 :
Gombe/Kigoma
After breakfast transfer to the lake for boat departure to Kigoma town.
Pick up on arrival and transfer to Hotel
Dinner and overnight at the hotel
After breakfast picks up and transfer to Kigoma Airport on time for your flight to Dar es Salaam.
